Hernia Surgery

Hernia surgery is one of the most common operations in the United States. Eighty percent of hernias are in the groin (inguinal hernias) and most of the other twenty percent are in the umbilicus. By far the majority of these surgeries can be safely performed in an ambulatory surgical setting, avoiding the waste of money in having the operation at a hospital.

Dr. McFaddin performs most hernia surgery at the Surgery Center of Ocala, conveniently located in the Paddock Park area. The techniques of hernia repair we use minimize discomfort, and in most patients allow return to full activity in three weeks.
